Brannik's Robert Bambas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerry Franco in the 33rd minute of play. Robert Bambas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime McClendon in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Brannik defense, Jackson Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Bambas. The Brannik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Bambas should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Jaime McClendon took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Robert Bambas to make any attempt to save it. 42 minutes into the match, Brannik's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime McClendon came free, but Robert Bambas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, Douglas Medley had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Bambas. Brannik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Douglas Medley was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Domenico Hooper made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Douglas Medley in the 50th minute of play forced Brannik's goalkeeper Robert Bambas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Bambas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 88th minute, Russell Hare made a precise shot to the right of Robert Bambas. Brannik's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. With 92 minutes on the clock, Louis Calderon commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 94th minute, Russell Hare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There was no doubt that Pueblo FC were the better team. Pueblo FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
