In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Eulalio Francesco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Stacey Banning hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, LOS BUITRES's goalkeeper Loco Higuita had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stacey Banning. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lv Zhou in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eulalio Francesco saved River tu grato nombre from getting behind. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Lv Zhou sped through River tu grato nombre's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eulalio Francesco. In the 38th minute Lv Zhou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Francesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stacey Banning might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loco Higuita. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stacey Banning ran back to his position shaking his head. Stacey Banning could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Loco Higuita made a huge save. After a rather tough play, River tu grato nombre's Garaona Aranguiz got a free kick in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 52 minutes into the game, when Carl Åberg put in a rough tackle. In the 53rd minute, Carl Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stacey Banning recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Pedro Augusto De Assis Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. River tu grato nombre's Rolland Kellogg was substituted for 董烨邦. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stacey Banning in the 70th minute of play forced LOS BUITRES's goalkeeper Loco Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, River tu grato nombre's Eulalio Francesco got control of the ball when Fan Xiang Kuan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fan Xiang Kuan in the 78thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
