The Colo-Colo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Colo-Colo's Rubén Martínez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Victor Erauso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Carlitos Caszely came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute of the match Colo-Colo got a corner. Alijilán returns's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Honorio Droguett ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Colo-Colo's corner Honorio Droguett fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Victor Erauso quite easily take care of the ball. In the 23rd minute, Radu Fetea reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eladio Escalona. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 29th minute Rubén Martínez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eladio Escalona made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wang Cheng Xiang in the 30th minute of play. Aytuğ Aral kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Mati Fernández came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rubén Martínez scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victor Erauso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Colo-Colo were furious when Faustão Prestes was red carded, 44 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Faustão Prestes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. A collision led to Alijilán returns getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Cipriano Tavio hit a great ball. In the 47th minute of the match José Julio Almeida shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Victor Erauso showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half Colo-Colo were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Victor Erauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mati Fernández in the 51st minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 54 minutes, Victor Erauso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radu Fetea in the 58th minute of play forced Colo-Colo's goalkeeper Eladio Escalona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute Colo-Colo were awarded a corner. Honorio Droguett went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Honorio Droguett almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alijilán returns's Victor Erauso did a great save. In the 66th minute, Chano Garrido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Colo-Colo got a freekick which was hit by Chano Garrido. In the 68th minute Cipriano Tavio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Escalona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 70 minutes of play, Alijilán returns's Co Bayo made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eladio Escalona was left in no man's land by his defense there! Colo-Colo made a substitution. José Pedro Fuenzalida replaced Honorio Droguett. 74 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goal looked a bit too open when Rubén Martínez came free, but Victor Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Alijilán returns's goalkeeper Victor Erauso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rubén Martínez. After 81 minutes of play, Alijilán returns's Co Bayo made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eladio Escalona was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 88th minute Wang Cheng Xiang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eladio Escalona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Radu Fetea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eladio Escalona. Colo-Colo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Radu Fetea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2.
