Sílvio Luiz das Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Costa in the 5th minute of the match. Litoral EC - CIMZ's Sílvio Mazza got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12thth minute of the game Ricardinho Vander who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Luiz Eduardo Faria was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th minute Litoral EC - CIMZ were awarded a corner. Virgílio Borges went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 15th minute, Edson de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Maurício Antunes sped through Litoral EC - CIMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sílvio Luiz das Neves. Luiz Eduardo Faria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardinho Vander in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toninho Coutinho in the 22nd minute of play forced Merusca F&P - CIMZ's goalkeeper Luiz Eduardo Faria to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Litoral EC - CIMZ's Sílvio Luiz das Neves got control of the ball when Adelino Costa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Willian de Salles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Litoral EC - CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Costa came free, but Sílvio Luiz das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st minute Mathias Bueno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Mathias Bueno could shoot a difficult shot in the 49th minute, which Sílvio Luiz das Neves however easily saved by the left post.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adelino Costa to make the kick off. In the 54th minute Maurício Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Luiz das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th match minute, Litoral EC - CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Sarmento to maneuver through the defense. Mathias Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Luiz das Neves having to interfere. Merusca F&P - CIMZ made a substitution. Vinícius Pontes replaced Cícero Diniz. After 62 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Dieguinho Rossi. After a defensive mix-up in Merusca F&P - CIMZ's zone, Virgílio Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Faria came out of the goal and Virgílio Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Vinícius Pontes notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Litoral EC - CIMZ's Sílvio Luiz das Neves. Sílvio Luiz das Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Merusca F&P - CIMZ's zone, Sílvio Mazza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Eduardo Faria came out of the goal and Sílvio Mazza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's Igor de Azevedo was substituted for Maurício Antunes. In the 77thth minute of the game Adelino Costa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Litoral EC - CIMZ's Sílvio Luiz das Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 82nd minute, Vinícius Pontes made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Luiz das Neves. Litoral EC - CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Sílvio Luiz das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Pontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. If Vinícius Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mathias Bueno struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Sílvio Luiz das Neves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merusca F&P - CIMZ. When Noel das Neves fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Litoral EC - CIMZ's protests and gave Noel das Neves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Merusca F&P - CIMZ booed when Litoral EC - CIMZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 played minutes Merusca F&P - CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Pontes. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor de Azevedo in the 97th minute of play forced Litoral EC - CIMZ's goalkeeper Sílvio Luiz das Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Merusca F&P - CIMZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
