The tension between the Zuera Never End MZC and the Várzea F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Manoel Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Filipe Mendonça took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Santo Everton. Zuera Never End MZC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Serafim Mesquita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Cardoso in the 16th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramiro Rosado during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 21 played minutes Várzea F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Rosado. In the 27th match minute, Zuera Never End MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Santo Everton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jano Paiva in the 28th minute of the match. After 29 played minutes Zuera Never End MZC got a freekick which was hit by Faas Marsal. Santo Everton came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Várzea F.C.'s Ramiro Rosado. But to his dismay, Ramiro Rosado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Oscar Prestes, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. When Jailson Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Várzea F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jailson Koehler couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faas Marsal was the one to do the kick off. In the 61st minute, Jano Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Várzea F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Jano Paiva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Santo Everton made a huge save. Zuera Never End MZC's Santo Everton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Zuera Never End MZC from getting a goal against them. Santo Everton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Rosado in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jano Paiva in the 79th minute of play forced Zuera Never End MZC's goalkeeper Santo Everton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rui Coutinho fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zuera Never End MZC's protests and gave Rui Coutinho a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Zuera Never End MZC's Rui Coutinho got a free kick in the 81st minute. Zuera Never End MZC made a substitution. William Palmeira replaced Jairo Cardoso. Rui Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Santo Everton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Rosado in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Zuera Never End MZC's William Palmeira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafim Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Décio Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The Várzea F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Várzea F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
