Oliver Rizzo hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Moussa Kabre took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Selatse. Despidida AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Moraes came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute Alvaro Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Kajetan Gdowik heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Despidida AFC's goalkeeper Fernando Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Marquês de Herval's Dorian Moraes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Selatse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Dida Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alvaro Raymond went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rd minute, Despidida AFC's Cain Velasquez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Jon Grøneng hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Alvaro Raymond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dida Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alvaro Raymond made a kick off. Despidida AFC's Arturo Arano was substituted for Kajetan Gdowik. Despidida AFC's Robert Percha was substituted for Alvaro Raymond. 61 minutes into the match, Robert Percha notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 71 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when German Cano came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fernando Selatse made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gaston Gonzalez in the 73rd minute. After 79 minutes Marquês de Herval's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Lucila who took care of the corner kick. The supporters of Despidida AFC booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gao Xiang Guang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Robert Percha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Despidida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Robert Percha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despidida AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robert Percha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dida Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dorian Moraes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Fernando Selatse skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Despidida AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
