The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute of the match, Andaka Mula got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iacob Povară was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 5th minute of the match, Marcus Odin tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iacob Povară saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andaka Mula in the 6th minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Andaka Mula came free, but Iacob Povară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Andaka Mula got free with Iacob Povară in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Delta FS's Andaka Mula in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalie prevented a goal. In the 14th minute Amedeo De Matteis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amedeo De Matteis spun around in front of the goal 14 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal. In the 17th minute, Delta FS's Amedeo De Matteis ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iacob Povară. Iacob Povară yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. 21 minutes into the match, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goal looked a bit too open when Amedeo De Matteis came free, but Iacob Povară reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iacob Povară made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Andaka Mula sent off a good shot on target. Francisc Ciocoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dan Petrescu kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Hélder Cavaco took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 30th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iacob Povară. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gualter Roriz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luca Pancu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Viorel Gurzău got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Gualter Roriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gheorghe Bociort in the 35th minute of the match. Gualter Roriz came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Gheorghe Bociort. But to his dismay, Gheorghe Bociort quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Delta FS getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Arí Tepedino hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Iacob Povară showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andaka Mula, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. In the 63rd minute Viorel Gurzău shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualter Roriz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Delta FS's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghe Bociort came free, but Gualter Roriz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Amedeo De Matteis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA defense, Amedeo De Matteis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iacob Povară. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iacob Povară should have stopped the shot. Gualter Roriz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisc Ciocoiu in the 71st minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Álvaro Vilaverde had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iacob Povară. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Álvaro Vilaverde was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 81st minute Álvaro Vilaverde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iacob Povară showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo De Matteis in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 83rd minute Amedeo De Matteis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, Marcus Odin notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's Iacob Povară. Iacob Povară was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to F.C CLUJ MEDICINA getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Paul Bogătan hit a great ball. Iacob Povară took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo De Matteis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Delta FS.
