Robinho de Salles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Txomin Astudillo's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Txomin Astudillo put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Robinho de Salles. In the 8th minute Dino Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Loiola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robinho de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliu Tuver, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dino Tavares in the 11th minute of play forced C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's goalkeeper Nicanor Loiola to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Yao Xiang Xi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robinho de Salles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Txomin Astudillo got free with Robinho de Salles in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute Yao Xiang Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Yao Xiang Xi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robinho de Salles was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. If Eliu Tuver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lamadrid booed when Nova Venécia-ES was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Severino Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 played minutes, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Pang Si Yan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Robinho de Salles came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C. A. Gral. Lamadrid reached it. If Natã Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Robinho de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huang Hong Gang, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Yao Xiang Xi hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Txomin Astudillo to strike the kick off in the second half. Nicanor Loiola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Natã Quintal in the 64th minute of play. With a little luck, C. A. Gral. Lamadrid's Nicanor Loiola got control of the ball when Natã Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 68 played minutes C. A. Gral. Lamadrid got a freekick which was hit by Set Fernando. The long shot by Valdo Diniz in the 68th minute really tested Nicanor Loiola's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Robinho de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Txomin Astudillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Nicanor Loiola made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Luís Gustavo Botelho sent off a good shot on target. Robinho de Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Txomin Astudillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Txomin Astudillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Yao Xiang Xi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 85 minutes Nova Venécia-ES's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pang Si Yan who took care of the corner kick. Txomin Astudillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Txomin Astudillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute Yao Xiang Xi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robinho de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Nova Venécia-ES players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for C. A. Gral. Lamadrid.
