Örjan Björkdahl started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Örjan Björkdahl in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Angelo Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. John Osomo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Souza in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Zé Ortiz hit a great ball. Hustaz Gorostarzu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Futbol Club RRFV's Angelo Velasco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Örjan Björkdahl in the 24th minute of play. John Osomo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 洪延广 in the 26th minute of play. In the 30th minute Örjan Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Futbol Club RRFV's Samuel Souza in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ booed when Futbol Club RRFV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz Guilherme Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Futbol Club RRFV's Angelo Velasco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Futbol Club RRFV from getting a goal against them. Clarence Seedorf came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Angelo Velasco could save by the left post. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Vimaro in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Bubunauri G. Hansen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 53rd minute, Futbol Club RRFV's Hustaz Gorostarzu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind John Osomo. John Osomo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Vimaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Futbol Club RRFV's zone, Örjan Björkdahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Velasco came out of the goal and Örjan Björkdahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hustaz Gorostarzu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the match, Futbol Club RRFV's goal looked a bit too open when Ademar Rodrigues came free, but Angelo Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ made a substitution. Bruno do Vale replaced Clarence Seedorf. In the 77th minute Ademar Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. The corner led PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Sandro Mandrak to fire away a dangerous shot which Angelo Velasco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 89th minute Örjan Björkdahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Velasco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Örjan Björkdahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute Hustaz Gorostarzu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match, Fausto Vimaro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but John Osomo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The score was 1-1 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's Örjan Björkdahl started the play with the initial kick off. In the 99th minute of the game Zé Carlos de Brito made a throw-in which Didi Castro played forward. Ademar Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 101st minute. Angelo Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ. The audience was convinced that Örjan Björkdahl's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Angelo Velasco was relentless in the 103rd minute of the game. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hustaz Gorostarzu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both sets of players were looking tired when the whistle went to end the half. Everyone was pleased to get a few minutes to rest before extra-time resumed.

Both teams seemed ready to fight when Futbol Club RRFV's Samuel Souza did the kick off and started the second half in the overtime. In the 118th minute Fausto Vimaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. John Osomo made a fantastic save in the 119th minute, when 洪延广 sent off a good shot on target. Samuel Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 122nd minute of the match, but John Osomo made a huge save. Angelo Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Örjan Björkdahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 130th minute. A collision led to Futbol Club RRFV getting a freekick after 131 minutes play. Luiz Guilherme Sena hit a great ball.

In the 139th minute there was a penalty for Futbol Club RRFV. Didi Castro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving John Osomo. 2-2. Angelo Velasco had in the 143rdth minute some difficulties stopping Frans Larsfelt's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee gave Futbol Club RRFV a penalty, 144 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Angelo Velasco, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of PALMEIRAS CE - DMZ's John Osomo. 3-4. Futbol Club RRFV's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
