But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milosz Juszkowski couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Laranjense's Palmiro Gueifão got control of the ball when Yuri Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milosz Juszkowski in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The score was still level after an even and exciting first-half in extra time. The players took a moment to grab a drink and get instructions from their managers before swapping ends.

When it was time for second half in the overtime, the players were a bit slow, but they soon became more alert when it was time for Leon Peio to make the kick off. Yuri Lopez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 118th minute. Palmiro Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 122 minutes into the game, Laranjense's Milosz Juszkowski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gildo Furtado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The America FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Laranjense to win.
