In the 18th minute Raphael Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ademar Fernandes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raphael Cunha in the 21st minute of play forced Bizard FC's goalkeeper Ademar Fernandes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bizard FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arsenio Gipuzkoa was slow to take the kick. During this time Jenipapo SC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Jenipapo SC's Vinicio Junior getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ademar Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinicio Junior in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Bizard FC got a corner. Jenipapo SC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Betão Duarte ran over to the corner to take the kick. Bizard FC's Betão Duarte was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but David Seaman in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The supporters of Bizard FC booed when Jenipapo SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Börje Kämpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Seaman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Sena in the 44th minute of play. Ademar Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aníbal Alagoano in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Bizard FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Bizard FC made a substitution. Roman Kostrzewski replaced Betão Duarte. Bizard FC's Manfredo Pombal was substituted for Caco Damião. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aníbal Alagoano was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Fabiano Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, Luiz Fabiano Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Luiz Fabiano Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but David Seaman made a huge save. Bizard FC were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Jenipapo SC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Victor Pinho took the corner. The corner led to Bizard FC's Erivaldo Vieira getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 73rd minute, Börje Kämpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jenipapo SC's David Seaman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fabiano Sena in the 74th minute of play. Ademar Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Alagoano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Zé Carlos Monteiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ademar Fernandes was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Bizard FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiano Sena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Seaman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Although Jenipapo SC had been in control for most of the match, Bizard FC still came away with the win.
