With an all-out effort, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Nilson do Vale threw himself towards the right post 4 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gernando Azevedo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Nilson do Vale made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gernando Azevedo in the 4th minute of play. João Carlos Lucas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Vargas in the 6th minute of the match. Gustavo Scarpa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Nilson do Vale made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gernando Azevedo got free with Nilson do Vale in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 16thth minute of the game Gernando Azevedo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bandelocos's Nilson do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute Gernando Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernando Azevedo in the 21st minute of play forced Bandelocos's goalkeeper Nilson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bandelocos's Claudinei Nascimento got a free kick in the 21st minute. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Varela in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Claudinei Nascimento threw the ball into play from the sideline. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Cezary Bartoszek quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 25 minutes into the match, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Vargas came free, but João Carlos Lucas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Bandelocos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. But to his dismay, Gernando Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 44 minutes into the game, Gernando Azevedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nilson do Vale. Gernando Azevedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdir Garcia to make the kick off. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Los Andes FC - FSCMZ. Amadeu do Nascimento stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nilson do Vale. 4-0. 60 minutes into the match, Bandelocos's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Azevedo came free, but Nilson do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bandelocos's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Arjen Robben was slow to take the kick. During this time Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. Nilson do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Azevedo in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nilson do Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Gernando Azevedo put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nilson do Vale. After 68 minutes Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Anísio Teixeira who took care of the corner kick. After 71 minutes of play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gernando Azevedo made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nilson do Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 76 minutes of play, Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Gabriel Recife made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bandelocos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. 89 minutes into the game, Gabriel Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 9-0. Nilson do Vale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 93rd minute Gabriel Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Los Andes FC - FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bandelocos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
