In the 26th minute Alfonso Goicoechea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Anselmo Nevada came free, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mbaka Mbolu took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pankracy Glogowski. Pankracy Glogowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 39 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Mbaka Mbolu came free, but Pankracy Glogowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ye Chuan Chen kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Refugio Pagan kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Pankracy Glogowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mbaka Mbolu, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Mbaka Mbolu made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mbaka Mbolu in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pankracy Glogowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mbaka Mbolu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pankracy Glogowski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Refugio Pagan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermengildo Erroman made in the 59th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Remigio Erramu. Pankracy Glogowski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mbaka Mbolu's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Club Atlético Atlanta booed when KOCAELİSPOR was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori Britto didn't get a good kick on the ball. KOCAELİSPOR's Davut Erek was substituted for Claudio Delgadillo. Mbaka Mbolu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pankracy Glogowski having to make a save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The KOCAELİSPOR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Atlético Atlanta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
