In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jose Heredia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jose Heredia scored 2-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şemsettin Tuyuğ, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mbaka Mbolu in the 63rd minute of play forced Parque Europa FC's goalkeeper Luis Täger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Şemsettin Tuyuğ didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xiao Zhen Jian went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Şemsettin Tuyuğ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Löfkvist in the 81st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Löfkvist in the 84th minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Coronel Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
