Roger Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Augusto Alves in the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes, Carlos Alberto Trigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Internazionale-RS and the FC Higher players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rogelio Lynch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Internazionale-RS's Oskars Nīkulis was substituted for Caco Borges. In the 66th minute, Paul Hammarberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Higher's Roger Pilgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FC Higher from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Augusto Alves in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roger Pilgren saved FC Higher from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FC Higher's Birger Ström got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Internazionale-RS's Pedro Augusto Alves got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joar Dahlquist kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Pedro Augusto Alves reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Roger Pilgren. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 85thth minute of the game Pedro Augusto Alves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Higher's Roger Pilgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 88 minutes into the match, FC Higher's goalkeeper Roger Pilgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Augusto Alves. Internazionale-RS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
