After a defensive mix-up in Academia Monte Gordo's zone, Mario Raidmets stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mao Zhen Hong came out of the goal and Mario Raidmets tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute Fabrício Lustosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Galvão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Academia Monte Gordo's Luciano Tiso got a free kick in the 45th minute. Alvin Virus short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Mao Zhen Hong to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Alvin Viru made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Alvin Viru had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mao Zhen Hong. Academia Monte Gordo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alvin Viru was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Academia Monte Gordo reached it. Mao Zhen Hong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hubert Pentjärv in the 77th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hubert Pentjärv in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After 80 minutes Academia Monte Gordo's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Samy Froidefond who took care of the corner kick. The FC Goodfellas fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when FC Goodfellas's Hubert Pentjärv looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mao Zhen Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Pentjärv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adélio Infante in the 94th minute. Kalle Kuuse hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. FC Goodfellas's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
