A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Gaston Dantae hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Dario Lop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iacob Drăgan in the 10th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, Monasterio AFC's Gaston Abadia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Piţurcă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Monasterio AFC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Costin Tomoiu 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Mugur Ciocâltea kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Nicanor Inge took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Daniel Piţurcă. Seminar CS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 27th minute, Nereo Buinton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Piţurcă was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The audience was convinced that Gaston Abadia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Daniel Piţurcă was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. 31 minutes into the match, Monasterio AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Tomoiu came free, but Dario Lop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nereo Buinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Daniel Piţurcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gaston Dantae stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Daniel Piţurcă. 1-4. 43 minutes into the game, Monasterio AFC's Nereo Buinton nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Piţurcă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nereo Buinton stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Seminar CS's Ovidiu Cimpoieru got a free kick in the 54th minute. Nereo Buintons short, quick shot in the 56thth minute got Daniel Piţurcă to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Seminar CS's Daniel Piţurcă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Buinton in the 58th minute of play. Daniel Piţurcă was a little too slow when Gaston Abadia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 1-6. After 69 played minutes Monasterio AFC got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Satordi. Dario Lop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Morozan in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Clodoveo Satordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Piţurcă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Seminar CS's Daniel Piţurcă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Seminar CS from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the game, Codruț Găman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Seminar CS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monasterio AFC the free kick. A collision led to Seminar CS getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Codruț Găman hit a great ball. Gaston Abadia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Piţurcă having to interfere. In the 84th minute Monasterio AFC were awarded a corner. Gaston Dantae went to the cornerflag to take it. Monasterio AFC's Nicanor Inge was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Daniel Piţurcă in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Monasterio AFC's Gaston Abadia got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Codruț Găman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. The supporters of Monasterio AFC booed when Seminar CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codruț Găman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Piţurcă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaston Abadia in the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Gaston Abadia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monasterio AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaston Abadia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Piţurcă breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Antonio Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Monasterio AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
