Promise Odigie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filip Toacsen having to interfere. Filip Toacsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Promise Odigie in the 19th minute of the match. Wasiu Olaoye made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augustin Adomniței in the 23rd minute. When Promise Odigie came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Nantwich fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Promise Odigie couldn't finish the play. Francisc Câmpeanu charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Câmpeanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Olusegun Nalaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Promise Odigie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olusegun Nalaya in the 36th minute of play forced Gladiatorii's goalkeeper Filip Toacsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valer Jucan to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Chibuzor Agba mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nantwich and the Gladiatorii players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Nantwich got a freekick which was hit by Chibuzor Agba. Olusegun Nalaya struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Filip Toacsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nantwich. Gladiatorii's Filip Toacsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olusegun Nalaya in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Olusegun Nalaya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonard Raicu kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The Gladiatorii fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nantwich were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
