When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Andaç Okseven put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Daniel Piţurcă. After 14 played minutes Seminar CS got a freekick which was hit by Iosif Gorjanu. 31 minutes into the match, Seminar CS's goal looked a bit too open when Dursun Ali Kornes came free, but Daniel Piţurcă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andaç Okseven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Piţurcă having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andaç Okseven in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Daniel Piţurcă saved Seminar CS from getting behind. Andaç Okseven took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Piţurcă. Daniel Piţurcă dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 48th minute, Andaç Okseven got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Kars FK were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dursun Ali Kornes was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes of play Seminar CS's Codruț Găman was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Codruț Găman hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. The long shot by Ahmet Nasir Bekdil in the 54th minute really tested Daniel Piţurcă's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Andaç Okseven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dursun Ali Kornes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Piţurcă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dursun Ali Kornes in the 61st minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Seminar CS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iosif Gorjanu to maneuver through the defense. If Dursun Ali Kornes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Seminar CS booed when Kars FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Nasir Bekdil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seminar CS's Daniel Piţurcă proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Seminar CS from getting a goal against them. When Kars FK's Dursun Ali Kornes in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Seminar CS's goalie prevented a goal. In the 77thth minute of the game Dursun Ali Kornes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seminar CS's Daniel Piţurcă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Andaç Okseven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Piţurcă made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Andaç Okseven sent off a good shot on target. In the 85th minute Dursun Ali Kornes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Piţurcă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Piţurcă was a little too slow when Andaç Okseven got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-3. Dursun Ali Kornes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Daniel Piţurcă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Kars FK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Seminar CS throughout the match.
