Eliodor Covaci was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Antonio Olayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Monasterio AFC's Nereo Buinton got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Monasterio AFC's Dario Lop played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olimpiu Bîndean in the 29th minute of play. With a little luck, Monasterio AFC's Dario Lop got control of the ball when Gelu Sorin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eliodor Covaci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonio Olayo in the 34th minute of the match. If Olimpiu Bîndean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliodor Covaci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Buinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. If Nereo Buinton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 49 minutes, Nereo Buinton put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Eliodor Covaci. After the first half Monasterio AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nereo Buinton made a kick off. Nereo Buinton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Bernabe Leguizamón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot by Nicanor Inge from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Eliodor Covaci's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Nereo Buinton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Eliodor Covaci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olimpiu Bîndean hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. The Monasterio AFC fans' excitement grew in the 75th match minute when Monasterio AFC's Nereo Buinton looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernabe Leguizamón during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gaston Dantae charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaston Dantae the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 92 played minutes Monasterio AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Dantae. Dario Lop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Sorin, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute.
