After a defensive mix-up in Kars FK's zone, Alp Omural stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Vedat Ağçelik came out of the goal and Alp Omural tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Kars FK getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Alaaddin Özgurcan hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

If Dursun Ali Kornes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes, Akil Cenger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kars FK and the Kaynarcaspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th minute, Akil Cenger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dursun Ali Kornes struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Kars FK's Ali Vedat Ağçelik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alp Omural in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd play minute Andaç Okseven came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised İzzet Vahit. 0-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kars FK eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
