The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Monasterio AFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gaston Dantae in the 6th minute. Allan Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Buinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by ATIVE FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gaston Dantae was slow to take the kick. During this time Monasterio AFC's players had a chance to rest. After some careless play in the ATIVE FC defense, Nereo Buinton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Negri. The ATIVE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Negri should have stopped the shot. When Monasterio AFC's Nereo Buinton in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ATIVE FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 18th minute Raí Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Lop saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 20 played minutes Monasterio AFC got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Inge. After some careless play in the ATIVE FC defense, Nereo Buinton kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Allan Negri. The ATIVE FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Allan Negri should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Antonio Olayo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monasterio AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antonio Olayo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 26 minutes into the match, Bernabe Leguizamón notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of ATIVE FC's Allan Negri. Allan Negri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dario Lop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Vargas in the 29th minute of play. ATIVE FC's Allan Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nereo Buinton in the 31st minute of play. After 31 played minutes ATIVE FC got a freekick which was hit by Igor Loureiro. With a little luck, Monasterio AFC's Dario Lop got control of the ball when Geovani Vargas tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nereo Buinton in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Allan Negri saved ATIVE FC from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Nereo Buinton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Allan Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Buinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd minute of the match, Geovani Vargas tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dario Lop saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half Monasterio AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Raí Castro made a kick off. When Nereo Buinton came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Monasterio AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nereo Buinton couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Monasterio AFC booed when ATIVE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauã Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Antonio Olayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Allan Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nereo Buinton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Allan Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Buinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gaston Dantae during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Antonio Olayo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 61stth minute tested the skills of Allan Negri when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Dario Lop was left in no man's land by his defense there! 81 minutes into the match, Monasterio AFC's Antonio Olayo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Allan Negri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcial Casado hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, Augusto dos Santos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Geovani Vargas in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dario Lop prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Monasterio AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Vargas came free, but Dario Lop reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Negri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Buinton, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Nereo Buinton in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Allan Negri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Dario Lop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Vargas in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Monasterio AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
