In the 4th minute, Vegby's Sivert Berglund dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egos Sagharadze in the 8th minute of play forced Vegby's goalkeeper Matthias Mattsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Golden Boys booed when Vegby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Tidén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ivan Tidén charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ivan Tidén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gocha Kobiashvili hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Matthias Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Djvebe Levidze in the 20th minute of the match. Golden Boys's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Sivert Berglund scored to the left of an out of position Taka Londaridze, making the score, 2-0. Matthias Mattsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teimuraz Neparidze in the 26th minute of the match. After 31 minutes of play, Golden Boys's Bebur Bitsadze made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matthias Mattsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Sivert Berglund took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Taka Londaridze to make any attempt to save it. In the 38th minute, Djvebe Levidze sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vegby's Matthias Mattsson didn't even have to move. 43 minutes into the game, Jarl Ambjörnsson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Taka Londaridze. Jarl Ambjörnsson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bebur Bitsadze to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Allan Myhr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Bebur Bitsadze kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matthias Mattsson. That made the score 4-3 in the 59 minute of play. Jarl Ambjörnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Taka Londaridze. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jarl Ambjörnsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Taka Londaridze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sivert Berglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robin Adelsköld scored 5-3 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Taka Londaridze, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jarl Ambjörnsson struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Taka Londaridze didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vegby. Vano Kikalishvili kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Vegby's Matthias Mattsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teimuraz Neparidze in the 73rd minute of play. Bo Källberg hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Vegby's goal looked a bit too open when Teimuraz Neparidze came free, but Matthias Mattsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bo Källberg kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Golden Boys's Taka Londaridze played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarl Ambjörnsson in the 95th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bebur Bitsadze got free with Matthias Mattsson in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Golden Boys's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
