The audience thought a goal was coming when Magdaleno Andersson got free with Peter Belkå in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Maido Hindpere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monte Susanin in the 87th minute of play. Monte Susanin might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maido Hindpere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Monte Susanin ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 89th minute, Fernando Claus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Peter Belkå took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magdaleno Andersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Estrella Roja Фк defense, Monte Susanin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maido Hindpere. The Estrella Roja Фк fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maido Hindpere should have stopped the shot. The Old Boys's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
