The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Suarez during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to SC Pfullendorf getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Fernando Suarez hit a great ball. 4 minutes into the match, La Gallardeta's Carmelo Jeraldo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Eliseo Illan struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Salvador Rajoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Gallardeta. In the 7th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Crispo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 8 minutes, Loramendi Jurado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Pfullendorf's supporters crossed their fingers, but Loramendi Jurado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Nafarroa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loramendi Jurado, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12thth minute of the game Loramendi Jurado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but La Gallardeta's Jaime Nafarroa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jaime Nafarroa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ximo Tobias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Crispo was shown his second yellow card after 14 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of SC Pfullendorf booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Crispo didn't get a good kick on the ball. La Gallardeta's Jaime Nafarroa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loramendi Jurado in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes, Ladislao Gonza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Gallardeta and the SC Pfullendorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 20th match minute, La Gallardeta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladislao Gonza to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in La Gallardeta's zone, Marquez Tobias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jaime Nafarroa came out of the goal and Marquez Tobias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Zoel Nobo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. 32 minutes into the game, Loramendi Jurado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Jaime Nafarroa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Donato Izotz charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Donato Izotz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st minute, Ladislao Gonza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marquez Tobias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jaime Nafarroa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

SC Pfullendorf made a substitution. Kiko Pastor replaced Ximo Tobias. SC Pfullendorf's Senen Castellano was substituted for Cayetano Segarra. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eliseo Illan made a kick off. In the 64th minute Kiko Pastor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Nafarroa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Illan might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Salvador Rajoi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliseo Illan ran back to his position shaking his head. After 73 minutes of play La Gallardeta's Ladislao Gonza was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Ladislao Gonza hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes, Sebastian Edur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the La Gallardeta and the SC Pfullendorf players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, Sebastian Edur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Gallardeta's Sebastian Edur suffered a sore thigh after 81 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Fernando Suarez was shown his second yellow card after 81 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.
