The Marlin FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timoteo Evis should have stopped the shot. Gregorio Loi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Cecilio Panpili made a huge save. Dante Olayo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Marlin FC's Prudencio Chuse got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cecilio Panpili was a little too slow when Anier Sazon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 25 minutes into the game, when Desiderio Rexino put in a rough tackle. Cecilio Panpili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosme Erramun, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The supporters of Brown Puerto Madryn booed when Marlin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Erlantz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Dante Olayo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Llorian in the 33rd minute of play forced Marlin FC's goalkeeper Timoteo Evis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brown Puerto Madryn's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Gregorio Loi scored to the left of an out of position Cecilio Panpili, making the score, 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anier Sazon to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Brown Puerto Madryn's Uriel Tajo got a free kick in the 57th minute. Alfonso Pudes hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Abelardo Oidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Timoteo Evis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cecilio Panpili showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Chuse, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Brown Puerto Madryn's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
