The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8thth minute of the game Héctor Mainer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altos Gatos FC's Christian Kiliz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's zone, Javier Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Mendiko came out of the goal and Javier Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everardo Chago hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Liev Tolstoy struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Jacobo Mendiko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Altos Gatos FC. In the 18th match minute, Altos Gatos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Casimiro Toli to maneuver through the defense. Altos Gatos FC's Christian Kiliz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Héctor Mainer in the 20th minute of play. Jacobo Mendiko stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Javier Santo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. The ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Héctor Mainer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Jacobo Mendiko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ from getting a goal against them. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's goalkeeper Jacobo Mendiko, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Héctor Mainer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 42 minutes into the match, Altos Gatos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor Mainer came free, but Christian Kiliz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Santo to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Santo came free, but Jacobo Mendiko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Jacobo Mendiko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Santo in the 57th minute of play. Jacobo Mendiko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Santo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Altos Gatos FC's Aurelio Duarte was substituted for Justino Corderun. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Franco Milazzo was substituted for Héctor Mainer. Milosz Majczyk hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the game, Franco Milazzo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Christian Kiliz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 77th minute, Enrique Vidal made a precise shot to the right of Jacobo Mendiko. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 79 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Olle threw the ball into play from the sideline. ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Osvaldo Sayveon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 81 minutes Altos Gatos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Santiago Sosa who took care of the corner kick. In the 87th minute Altos Gatos FC were awarded a corner. Aurelio Duarte went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Milosz Majczyk managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After a rather tough play, ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ's Franco Milazzo got a free kick in the 88th minute. In the 93rd minute Franco Milazzo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Kiliz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched ᴀᴄʜᴛᴜɴɢ ʙᴀʙɪᴇs ᴾᴵᴬᴿᴬ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
