Robert Lewandowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Turgay Şeren having to interfere. After some careless play in the Freezerpool FC defense, Huang Rong kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Deilmison Oblak. The Freezerpool FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Deilmison Oblak should have stopped the shot. Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Golden Generation from getting a goal against them. Joaquin Inzunza might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Turgay Şeren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquin Inzunza ran back to his position shaking his head. Turgay Şeren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Lewandowski in the 34th minute of the match. Freezerpool FC's Robert Lewandowski managed to work through Golden Generation's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Robert Lewandowski dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 37 minutes into the match, Freezerpool FC's goal looked a bit too open when Huang Rong came free, but Deilmison Oblak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Golden Generation's Turgay Şeren got control of the ball when Robert Lewandowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Golden Generation made a substitution. Elivélton Cunha replaced Huang Rong.
