Sol Borrowdale was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 6 minutes, Tod Freeman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leicester Lions's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tod Freeman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şükür Hagi in the 11th minute of play forced Harlow AFC's goalkeeper Sol Borrowdale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Sonny Earnshaw fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Harlow AFC's protests and gave Sonny Earnshaw a yellow card for diving instead. After 12 played minutes Harlow AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sonny Earnshaw. A collision led to Harlow AFC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Donny Winstanley hit a great ball. Sol Borrowdale showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tod Freeman in the 15th minute of the match. Verne Jewson hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the match, Harlow AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Freeman came free, but Sol Borrowdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes had been played when some careless play by Leicester Lions's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Eric Connell was slow to take the kick. During this time Harlow AFC's players had a chance to rest. Camron Rhodes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sol Borrowdale read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Donny Winstanley hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Mike Wadham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Sol Borrowdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Leicester Lions were awarded a corner. Michal Budzyn went to the cornerflag to take it. 39 minutes into the game, Camron Rhodes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. The Harlow AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Leicester Lions were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Verne Kearney to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the match, Harlow AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Camron Rhodes came free, but Sol Borrowdale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After taking down the ball on Leicester Lions's corner Michal Budzyn fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sol Borrowdale quite easily take care of the ball. Camron Rhodes hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Harlow AFC's Sol Borrowdale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Harlow AFC from getting a goal against them. 61 minutes into the match, Camron Rhodes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sol Borrowdale, 0-3. Robbie Lomas's late challenge caught a Leicester Lions's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robbie Lomas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 64th minute, Robbie Lomas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sol Borrowdale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michal Budzyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Leicester Lions's Camron Rhodes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sol Borrowdale. That made the score 0-4 after 68 minutes of play. Camron Rhodes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Sol Borrowdale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sol Borrowdale stood somewhat misplaced when Tod Freeman came free in front of goal and shot 0-5 to the left of him in the 74 minute. When Patryk Plučinský came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Leicester Lions fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patryk Plučinský couldn't finish the play. Şükür Hagi in the 80thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sol Borrowdale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Harlow AFC's Sonny Earnshaw got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Sonny Earnshaw off the ground. Şükür Hagi in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sol Borrowdale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Şükür Hagi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Harlow AFC booed when Leicester Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Şükür Hagi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Sol Borrowdale managed to avoid a goal in the 90thth minute, when Leicester Lions's Şükür Hagi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Leicester Lions's Tod Freeman got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Harlow AFC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Robert Hurst hit a great ball. In the 94th play minute Şükür Hagi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sol Borrowdale. 0-7. The Harlow AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Leicester Lions were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
