The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Carlisle United's Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Eglington in the 13th minute of play. Hugh Wilkinson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlinhos Vidal went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Hugh Wilkinson made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Thomas Jan sent off a good shot on target. Andreas Forsberg lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Carlisle United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan had in the 21stth minute some difficulties stopping Kyle Eglington's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 26th minute Rio Dunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Mulford took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rio Dunn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlinhos Vidal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 39th minute, Carlinhos Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 42 minutes of play, Gone With the Win's Jimmy Mulford made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Gone With the Win's Kyle Eglington got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 洪振义 to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Carlisle United's Carlinhos Vidal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugh Wilkinson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. A collision led to Carlisle United getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Vilhelm Sellberg hit a great ball. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gone With the Win's Jimmy Mulford. But to his dismay, Jimmy Mulford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. In the 64th minute, Seb Osbourne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Gone With the Win's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Vidal came free, but Hugh Wilkinson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Jimmy Mulford sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Gone With the Win getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ollie Kennedy hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the game, Ollie Kennedy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gone With the Win's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Carlisle United the free kick. Ollie Kennedy hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. When Carlinhos Vidal came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Carlisle United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlinhos Vidal couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Gone With the Win getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Seb Osbourne hit a great ball. Thomas Jan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Jimmy Mulford sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute Rio Dunn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
