Tommy Thompson made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Des Wicks sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dennis Bergkamp in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabien Barthez saved Egg Chasers FC from getting behind. Des Wicks could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Tommy Thompson made a huge save. In the 14th minute Egg Chasers FC were awarded a corner. Kenny Duckworth went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Matthew Brookman managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 19th minute of the match, Des Wicks got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tommy Thompson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 20th minute Dennis Bergkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabien Barthez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Egg Chasers FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lee Bannatyne hit a great ball. FC LIVERPOOL's Tommy Thompson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Des Wicks in the 25th minute of play. Fabien Barthez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Bergkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Dennis Bergkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fabien Barthez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. If Jasper Delamore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Egg Chasers FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robustiano Diaz came free, but Fabien Barthez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC LIVERPOOL's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Des Wicks scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Thompson, making the score, 2-1. Tommy Thompson made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Matthew Brookman sent off a good shot on target.

FC LIVERPOOL's Rio Dunn was substituted for Karl-Oskar Wennerquist. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jasper Delamore made a kick off. Kenny Duckworth made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC LIVERPOOL's Mariano Tino. 61 minutes into the game, Matthew Brookman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Tommy Thompson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rio Dunn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rio Dunn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Fabien Barthez made a huge save. Tommy Thompson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Des Wicks, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jasper Delamore in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Thompson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Souto in the 84th minute of play forced Egg Chasers FC's goalkeeper Fabien Barthez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jasper Delamore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87thth minute of the game Rio Dunn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Egg Chasers FC's Fabien Barthez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 88 minutes Egg Chasers FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Flávio Souto who took care of the corner kick. In the 92nd match minute, FC LIVERPOOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdi Kadıoğlu to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute of the match Alex Barone sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Thompson skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Rio Dunn's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabien Barthez was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. 96 minutes into the match, FC LIVERPOOL's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Groom came free, but Tommy Thompson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
