Ged Pope started the match with the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gez Barber in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Stone saved T H F C from getting behind. Gul Keep made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ged Pope in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind T H F C's goalkeeper Ivan Stone, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Albert Crawshaw charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Albert Crawshaw the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Garlic Eaters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albert Crawshaw to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, T H F C's Ged Pope sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gul Keep narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Ged Pope dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gul Keep, 1-0. Gez Barber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gul Keep took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matty Tinker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Garlic Eaters getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Tod Tompkins hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gez Barber in the 36th minute of play forced T H F C's goalkeeper Ivan Stone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If James Tuck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ged Pope had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gez Barber made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Roger Crossley notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Garlic Eaters's Gul Keep. Gul Keep was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reuben Howarth hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ivan Stone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Tompkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Garlic Eaters's James Tuck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ivan Stone. That made the score 2-1 after 66 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Garlic Eaters's Cliff Gurney got a free kick in the 68th minute. Junior Tompkins hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Garth Wardell's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gul Keep read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Davenport in the 78th minute of play forced Garlic Eaters's goalkeeper Gul Keep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gez Barber got free with Ivan Stone in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 83rd minute Garlic Eaters were awarded a corner. Tod Tompkins went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Garlic Eaters's Bruninho Falcão to fire away a dangerous shot which Ivan Stone despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ivan Stone showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Tuck in the 87th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gez Barber in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivan Stone saved T H F C from getting behind. There was no doubt that T H F C were the better team. T H F C's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
