After 16 minutes, Cliff Gordon made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ssc Napoli's Pino Cortiello tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cliff Gordon made a kick off. When Sacha Wellings came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Chelsea AFC Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sacha Wellings couldn't finish the play. Chelsea AFC Boca Juniors's Sacha Wellings got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Spike Francis hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Cliff Welch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 85th minute Cliff Welch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pino Cortiello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
