The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With his leg Savas Kokkinos managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when MELATES F.C.'s Alexis McAllister fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kostas Briakos in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emanuel Enoiu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Savas Kokkinos made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Alexis McAllister sent off a good shot on target. 23 minutes into the game, Kleanthis Ifantis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MELATES F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INTER the free kick. Kleanthis Ifantis kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 27 minutes MELATES F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Andrei Măgură who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Andrei Măgură almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MELATES F.C.'s Emanuel Enoiu did a great save. Theofanis Adamiadis hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Emanuel Enoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michalis Sardelas in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Leonidas Tseberlidis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MELATES F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonidas Tseberlidis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Alexis McAllister managed to get in a good position for a shot. MELATES F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alexis McAllister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Savas Kokkinos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Theocharis Louverdis made the kick off in the second half. Alexis McAllister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Savas Kokkinos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Savas Kokkinos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexis McAllister's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Savas Kokkinos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nafiz Hafızoğlu, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. After 60 minutes, Nikos Nikitaras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MELATES F.C. and the INTER players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nikos Nikitaras kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Markos Kalabalikis hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. INTER's Savas Kokkinos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexis McAllister in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, INTER's Theocharis Louverdis got a free kick in the 67th minute. MELATES F.C.'s Emanuel Enoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrei Măgură in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Alexis McAllister got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. MELATES F.C.'s Emanuel Enoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michalis Sardelas in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of MELATES F.C. booed when INTER was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrei Măgură didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Andrei Măgură hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Nafiz Hafızoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot. MELATES F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nafiz Hafızoğlu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 80th minute INTER were awarded a corner. Andrei Măgură went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on INTER's corner Andrei Măgură fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Emanuel Enoiu quite easily take care of the ball. After 83 minutes, Andrei Măgură mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INTER and the MELATES F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Andrei Măgură hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Markos Kalabalikis got free with Emanuel Enoiu in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leonidas Tseberlidis took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Savas Kokkinos. Savas Kokkinos dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.
