ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Julian Cuesta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özen Baroğlu in the 7th minute of play. Stamatis Banasidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michail Panagidis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Özen Baroğlu in the 13th minute of play forced ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s goalkeeper Julian Cuesta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. O.T.E's Stamatis Banasidis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save O.T.E from getting a goal against them. Özen Baroğlu took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julian Cuesta. Julian Cuesta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to O.T.E getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Fabian Niedzwiecki hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marios Kaliasis got free with Stamatis Banasidis in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julian Cuesta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özen Baroğlu in the 33rd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Özen Baroğlu made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s Julian Cuesta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. O.T.E's Giorgos Natsikas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fran Velez in the 36 minute of the game. After 43 minutes, Diogenis Kirmitzas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. and the O.T.E players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Diogenis Kirmitzas. After the first half O.T.E were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Özen Baroğlu made a kick off. O.T.E's attentive Giorgos Natsikas managed to snatch the ball when Fran Velez made a throw-in in the 50th minute of the game. O.T.E's Stamatis Banasidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michail Panagidis in the 56th minute of play. A collision led to ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Fabiano Leismann hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Fabian Niedzwiecki managed to get in a good position for a shot. O.T.E's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Niedzwiecki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Cuesta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ermis Panakakis kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Panos Antoniadis in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Stamatis Banasidis saved O.T.E from getting behind. After a rather tough play, O.T.E's Ermis Panakakis got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The supporters of O.T.E booed when ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fran Velez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stamatis Banasidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michail Panagidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Stamatis Banasidis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Panos Antoniadis's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. O.T.E's Stamatis Banasidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pantelis Iordanakos in the 73rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s zone, Özen Baroğlu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Julian Cuesta came out of the goal and Özen Baroğlu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marios Kaliasis's late challenge caught a O.T.E's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marios Kaliasis helped the player get up and apologised. Marios Kaliasis kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Özen Baroğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Julian Cuesta made a huge save. Özen Baroğlu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julian Cuesta having to make a save. Ermis Panakakis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Julian Cuesta made a huge save. O.T.E's Giorgos Natsikas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fran Velez in the 92 minute of the game. 93 minutes into the game, Pantelis Iordanakos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ARIS THESSALONIKI F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave O.T.E the free kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. O.T.E walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
