Aggelos Markoulis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltiadis Stratzalis in the 17th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vaggelis Giannopoulatos in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manos Partalakis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Marios Kofidis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vaggelis Giannopoulatos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Manos Partalakis came out and tried to block the shot, but Vaggelis Giannopoulatos slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 28th minute. Manos Partalakis made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Loukianos Venetidis sent off a good shot on target. After 35 minutes Panionios MK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tasos Papoutsis who took care of the corner kick. Manos Partalakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vaggelis Giannopoulatos, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panionios MK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tasos Papoutsis was slow to take the kick. During this time Glyka Nera FC's players had a chance to rest. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loukianos Venetidis in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Manos Partalakis saved Panionios MK from getting behind. With a little luck, Panionios MK's Manos Partalakis got control of the ball when Soulis Avramidis tried to sneak it across the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vaggelis Giannopoulatos to strike the kick off in the second half.
