Vassilis Stergioudas's late challenge caught a Panionios MK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vassilis Stergioudas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Panionios MK booed when RO Army V55 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vassilis Stergioudas didn't get a good kick on the ball. 3 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's Marinos Kavouridis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Thodoris Tabakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Charilaos Kalokerinos, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Giorgos Kalabokis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panionios MK's supporters rose to their feet, but Giorgos Kalabokis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thodoris Tabakis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thodoris Tabakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giorgos Kalabokis in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Giorgos Kalabokis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thodoris Tabakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charilaos Kalokerinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 18 minutes into the match, RO Army V55's goal looked a bit too open when Charilaos Kalokerinos came free, but Thodoris Tabakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thodoris Tabakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marinos Kavouridis in the 21st minute of the match. If Sokratis Symeonakis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marinos Kavouridis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thodoris Tabakis having to interfere. Sokratis Symeonakis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manos Partalakis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to RO Army V55 getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Vassilis Stergioudas hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Marinos Kavouridis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Panionios MK's supporters rose to their feet, but Marinos Kavouridis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 38th minute Giorgos Kalabokis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thodoris Tabakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofoklis Stergiatos in the 45th minute of play forced RO Army V55's goalkeeper Thodoris Tabakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thodoris Tabakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lazaros Pispinis in the 46th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ermis Kontominas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Manos Partalakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermis Kontominas, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Thodoris Tabakis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charilaos Kalokerinos in the 56th minute of the match. Sofoklis Stergiatos struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Thodoris Tabakis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Panionios MK. Giorgos Kalabokis's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Thodoris Tabakis firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Panionios MK's Sofoklis Stergiatos got a free kick in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Lazaros Pispinis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Thodoris Tabakis. Lazaros Pispinis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. 72 minutes into the match, RO Army V55's goal looked a bit too open when Charilaos Kalokerinos came free, but Thodoris Tabakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, RO Army V55's Thodoris Tabakis got control of the ball when Giorgos Kalabokis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thodoris Tabakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Giorgos Kalabokis in the 78th minute. In the 87th minute, Fanis Kapernekas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manos Partalakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Giorgos Kalabokis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Giorgos Kalabokis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thodoris Tabakis was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 97 played minutes Lazaros Pispinis rounded RO Army V55's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. Panionios MK played a much better game than RO Army V55 and deserved their victory. The RO Army V55 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
