Go Ahead Eagles's Manos Papaiakovou played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michalis Svirkos in the 17th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Panagiotis Bourousis to strike the kick off in the second half. When Eustratios Stabouloglou fell near the penalty area in the 50th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KAFSONAS F.C.'s protests and gave Eustratios Stabouloglou a yellow card for diving instead. Eustratios Stabouloglou hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes Go Ahead Eagles got a freekick which was hit by Nikos Moustos. In the 61st minute of the match, Michalis Svirkos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Manos Papaiakovou saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michalis Svirkos in the 62nd minute of the match. Lefteris Alexoulis succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-5 in the 76th playminute. The referee showed Kosmas Kouroupetroglou the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 92nd match minute, KAFSONAS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kosmas Kouroupetroglou to maneuver through the defense.
