With a little luck, International Thunders's Thorsten Ternes got control of the ball when Fllad Ademaj tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 28th minute Steffen Ivanschitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Ternes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rudolf Eschlimann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Thorsten Ternes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Arbing FSV - yougame.at's Manuel Latzke got a free kick in the 40th minute. A collision led to Arbing FSV - yougame.at getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Thorsten Ternes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen Ivanschitz in the 46th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, Gerrit Dohr was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. International Thunders's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arbing FSV - yougame.at the free kick. International Thunders's Luca Divis was substituted for Tim Köppen. A collision led to International Thunders getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Gerrit Dohr hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damian Trac to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, International Thunders's Henrique Fonseca threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Björn Hainl, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
