After a rather tough play, GARGOYLES's Gyuro Darakchiyski got a free kick in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vlado Manchev in the 6th minute of play forced GARGOYLES's goalkeeper Goran Gutunarov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oleg Púrvov hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paun Skarlatov got free with Oleg Ubinov in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, GARGOYLES's Oleg Púrvov got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Vlado Manchev managed to get in a good position for a shot. The FC CSKA fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when FC CSKA's Yancho Dzhongarski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Goran Gutunarov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Varban Netzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Paun Skarlatov notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of FC CSKA's Oleg Ubinov. Oleg Ubinov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Varban Netzov made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Varban Netzov got a very nice opportunity to score, but Goran Gutunarov was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Pavel Topurov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Oleg Ubinov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, GARGOYLES's goalkeeper Goran Gutunarov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dimitar Berbatov. Oleg Ubinov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paun Skarlatov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's Yancho Dzhongarski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Goran Gutunarov narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Pavel Topurov kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, GARGOYLES's goal looked a bit too open when Varban Netzov came free, but Goran Gutunarov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC CSKA getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Anatoli Nankov hit a great ball. 72 minutes into the game, Boris Galchev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC CSKA's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GARGOYLES the free kick. Boris Galchev hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Oleg Púrvov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Oleg Ubinov. FC CSKA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Goran Gutunarov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yancho Dzhongarski in the 78th minute. A collision led to GARGOYLES getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Nenko Baldev hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Velimir Kocharkov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Goran Gutunarov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yancho Dzhongarski's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Yancho Dzhongarski put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Goran Gutunarov. Goran Gutunarov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Varban Netzov went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. If Yancho Dzhongarski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes, Yancho Dzhongarski made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. GARGOYLES's Goran Gutunarov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.
