After a defensive mix-up in VN Ultra Spartak's zone, Nano Akrabov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bocho Zhivankin came out of the goal and Nano Akrabov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radostin Uzunski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antoan Tzonchev in the 14th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Dido Shahanov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bourgas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The supporters of FC Bourgas booed when VN Ultra Spartak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vladko Kolyachev didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dido Shahanov might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bocho Zhivankin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dido Shahanov ran back to his position shaking his head. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antoan Tzonchev got free with Radostin Uzunski in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dido Shahanov in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bocho Zhivankin saved VN Ultra Spartak from getting behind. 35 minutes into the match, VN Ultra Spartak's goal looked a bit too open when Nano Akrabov came free, but Bocho Zhivankin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lozan Baltov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bocho Zhivankin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lozan Baltov recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 38 minutes into the match, FC Bourgas's goal looked a bit too open when Ancho Mihovski came free, but Radostin Uzunski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bocho Zhivankin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lozan Baltov in the 43rd minute of the match. VN Ultra Spartak's Bocho Zhivankin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dido Shahanov in the 44th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Zlatko Deribeev could shoot a difficult shot in the 47th minute, which Radostin Uzunski however easily saved by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lozan Baltov to make the kick off. If Zlatko Deribeev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Radostin Uzunski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zlatko Deribeev in the 54th minute of the match. With 58 minutes on the clock, Yanislav Zhalov commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 99th match minute, VN Ultra Spartak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexander Bozhankov to maneuver through the defense. Nano Akrabov struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Bocho Zhivankin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bourgas. VN Ultra Spartak's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
