The supporters of Savon Palloseura booed when Palloketut was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rami Lehto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Artturi Vahalahti charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artturi Vahalahti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Palloketut's zone, Kaarle Väätäinen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jyrki Rajamäki came out of the goal and Kaarle Väätäinen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jari Welling made a kick off.
