The supporters of Porvoon Futura booed when Galand FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarmo Niemi didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Porvoon Futura's Jukka-Pekka Helenius got control of the ball when Orvo Meltoranta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reijo Mattila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jukka-Pekka Helenius having to interfere. Miska Känsäkangas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Big Fart in the 17th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Alpo Virtanen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Porvoon Futura's supporters rose to their feet, but Alpo Virtanen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miska Känsäkangas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Miska Känsäkangas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alpo Virtanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The supporters of Porvoon Futura booed when Galand FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesti Sillgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Porvoon Futura's Valentin Salonen got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Reijo Mattila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Big Fart in the 37th minute of play forced Galand FC's goalkeeper Miska Känsäkangas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Big Fart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miska Känsäkangas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Galand FC's goal looked a bit too open when Big Fart came free, but Miska Känsäkangas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miska Känsäkangas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Big Fart, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Orvo Meltoranta fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Galand FC's protests and gave Orvo Meltoranta a yellow card for diving instead. Orvo Meltoranta hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Orvo Meltoranta was the one to do the kick off. After 56 minutes, Jarmo Niemi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galand FC and the Porvoon Futura players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Galand FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jarmo Niemi hit a great ball. Eerik Vähä struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Miska Känsäkangas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Porvoon Futura. Galand FC's Miska Känsäkangas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petri Itäluoma in the 61st minute of play. Miska Känsäkangas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Big Fart, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Orvo Meltoranta in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jukka-Pekka Helenius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Reijo Mattila recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jukka-Pekka Helenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orvo Meltoranta, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute of the match Galand FC got a corner. Porvoon Futura's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Juhani Sorsamäki ran over to the corner to take the kick. Galand FC's Olli-Pekka Grönvall was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jukka-Pekka Helenius in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jukka-Pekka Helenius came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Galand FC's Reijo Mattila. But to his dismay, Reijo Mattila quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.
