In the 5thth minute of the game Moritz Christe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PoWer SC 2K5's Dieter Ringel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pinkus Mack was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 6th minute. Academica Pulheim's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moritz Christe in the 10th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Dieter Ringel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Moritz Christe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dieter Ringel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Jakob Klinsmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PoWer SC 2K5's Dieter Ringel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save PoWer SC 2K5 from getting a goal against them. Academica Pulheim were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after PoWer SC 2K5's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Malte Rastätter took the corner. Academica Pulheim's Edgar Gomminginger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dieter Ringel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 23rdth minute of the game Moritz Christe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PoWer SC 2K5's Dieter Ringel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by PoWer SC 2K5's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Malte Rastätter was slow to take the kick. During this time Academica Pulheim's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of PoWer SC 2K5's goalie and right to Edgar Gomminginger. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. PoWer SC 2K5's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 28th minute Academica Pulheim were awarded a corner. Malte Rastätter went to the cornerflag to take it. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Dieter Ringel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 33 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Dieter Ringel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pinkus Mack. After a defensive mix-up in PoWer SC 2K5's zone, Moritz Christe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieter Ringel came out of the goal and Moritz Christe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pinkus Mack recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Killian Fischer to strike the kick off in the second half. Dieter Ringel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moritz Christe, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Killian Fischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Florian Schulitz replaced Moritz Christe. In the 62nd minute, Meinolf Rebe sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and PoWer SC 2K5's Dieter Ringel didn't even have to move. Slaven Dietze made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Klose in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute, Killian Fischer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Ali Köpsel replaced Edgar Gomminginger. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carsten Boy in the 69th minute of play forced PoWer SC 2K5's goalkeeper Dieter Ringel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PoWer SC 2K5's Dieter Ringel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carsten Boy in the 69th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian Schulitz in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dieter Ringel saved PoWer SC 2K5 from getting behind. Dieter Ringel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Schulitz in the 89th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Axel Habig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 94 minutes into the match, PoWer SC 2K5's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Köpsel came free, but Dieter Ringel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 96 minutes, Ali Köpsel made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. PoWer SC 2K5's Dieter Ringel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Academica Pulheim fully deserved thier win.
