After 5 minutes of play, Mäusekicker's Grzegorz Czerwinski made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xavi Hernández was left in no man's land by his defense there! The Mäusekicker fans' excitement grew in the 9th match minute when Mäusekicker's Grzegorz Czerwinski looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Mäusekicker booed when Französisch Buchholz FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fredy Hummel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mäusekicker's Feodor Wedel broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Detmar Hilker made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Mäusekicker's Armando Pena. A collision led to Mäusekicker getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Erubiel Carlomagno hit a great ball. Grzegorz Czerwinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Xavi Hernández tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Olejarz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Kai Schirmer made a huge save. Xavi Hernández showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grzegorz Czerwinski in the 27th minute of the match. In the 28th minute, Detmar Hilker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavi Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Carlomagno in the 30th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Peter-Michael Mukengechay threw the ball into play from the sideline. Mäusekicker's Armando Pena quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. The audience was convinced that Grzegorz Czerwinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Xavi Hernández was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Beti Montaña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavi Hernández having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joel Olejarz to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Stefan Nierlich hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Xavi Hernández made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beti Montaña in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Grzegorz Czerwinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavi Hernández saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grzegorz Czerwinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Xavi Hernández made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Französisch Buchholz FC's zone, Beti Montaña stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavi Hernández came out of the goal and Beti Montaña tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias Baumann kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Xavi Hernández stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Grzegorz Czerwinski's shot from short distance in the 68th minute. Grzegorz Czerwinski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Xavi Hernández made a huge save. In the 70th minute, Beti Montaña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute, Grzegorz Czerwinski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavi Hernández was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Joel Olejarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Grzegorz Czerwinski took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Xavi Hernández to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Grzegorz Czerwinski in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xavi Hernández prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mäusekicker's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
