The audience thought a goal was coming when Lu Sang got free with Gustav Sawade in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Friesenwerdermoor booed when Give Peace a Chance was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godo Jaffke didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Give Peace a Chance getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Konstantin Hirte hit a great ball. Friesenwerdermoor's Gustav Sawade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lennie Langhammer in the 18th minute of play. Odilo Pusch's late challenge caught a Friesenwerdermoor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Odilo Pusch helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Give Peace a Chance getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Odilo Pusch hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Give Peace a Chance's zone, Carsten Frommermann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erdem Kazım came out of the goal and Carsten Frommermann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Give Peace a Chance getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Marc Heising hit a great ball. If Amirul Yeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erdem Kazım made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amirul Yeo in the 32nd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Lu Sang dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gustav Sawade, 1-0. If Lu Sang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erdem Kazım showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harald Willms, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Gustav Sawade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frido Stumpf in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amirul Yeo made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lu Sang during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, Give Peace a Chance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konstantin Hirte to maneuver through the defense. Friesenwerdermoor's Gustav Sawade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kay Wering in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Give Peace a Chance's goalkeeper Erdem Kazım had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Harald Willms. Gustav Sawade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lu Sang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lu Sang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustav Sawade having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lennie Langhammer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gustav Sawade was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After 94 played minutes Friesenwerdermoor got a freekick which was hit by Carsten Frommermann. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Lu Sang managed to get in a good position for a shot. Give Peace a Chance's supporters rose to their feet, but Lu Sang was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustav Sawade breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There was no doubt that Give Peace a Chance were the better team. Give Peace a Chance's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
