The referee ignored De Gulden Draak's protests and gave Thorsten Drehmann a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to De Gulden Draak getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Thorsten Drehmann hit a great ball. In the 12th minute Roswin Westermayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismail Köhler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 0-2 became the score in the 20th minute when Tor Jäger elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ismail Köhler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tor Jäger's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. The Tiger fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Tiger's Roswin Westermayer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Tor Jäger struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Ismail Köhler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tiger. The audience was convinced that Roswin Westermayer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismail Köhler was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. Tiger's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave De Gulden Draak the free kick. After 45 played minutes Tiger got a freekick which was hit by Antonius Zagermann.

After a rather tough play, De Gulden Draak's Fox Abendroth got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With his leg Ismail Köhler managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Tiger's Tor Jäger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matthäus Pfaff during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 56 played minutes De Gulden Draak got a freekick which was hit by Matthäus Pfaff. Domingo Vivero charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tiger's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
