Berlin's goal looked a bit too open when Hartmut Achterberg came free, but Laurent Frister reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurent Frister made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hartmut Achterberg in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute, Hartmut Achterberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. De Gulden Draak's Ellis Thierse got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hartmut Achterberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Laurent Frister having to make a save. In the 17th minute, Julius Bechstein hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ellis Thierse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin got a freekick which was hit by Matteo Kasseckert. Ronald Breitbücher scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Laurent Frister, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin defense, Ellis Thierse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laurent Frister. The SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laurent Frister should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, De Gulden Draak's Ellis Thierse got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience was convinced that Jan Langmaier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ismail Köhler was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Torsten Drewes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half De Gulden Draak were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Jan Langmaier made the kick off in the second half. Jan Langmaier might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ismail Köhler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jan Langmaier ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's Laurent Frister got control of the ball when Ronald Breitbücher tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Anton Galen managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin's supporters rose to their feet, but Anton Galen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ismail Köhler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee showed Thorsten Drehmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to De Gulden Draak getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Thorsten Drehmann hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Ronald Breitbücher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hartmut Achterberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Laurent Frister tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Max Pentz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ronald Breitbücher kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Laurent Frister. That made the score 1-4 in the 83 minute of play. Laurent Frister showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hartmut Achterberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The supporters of SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin booed when De Gulden Draak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gert Porsche didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over De Gulden Draak could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SC Wacker 04 e.V. Berlin throughout the match.
