Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boubacar Otabo to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Günther Scharpe in the 71st minute of play forced VfL Bad Nenndorf's goalkeeper Remo Borges to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wolf Poll took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugen Jansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of VfL Bad Nenndorf booed when Tiger was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arvid Wacker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remo Borges didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Günther Scharpe went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
