The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Pavel Janis kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. FC Blue Twister Liberec's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Jaroslav Bača scored to the left of an out of position Zbyněk Ticháček, making the score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Jiří Rýpar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vadim Jurák came out of the goal and Jiří Rýpar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 38th minute Guo Peng Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vadim Jurák saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Skräddare came free, but Vadim Jurák reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Miroslav Fidler hit a great ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Guo Peng Sheng made the kick off in the second half. If Guo Peng Sheng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 54th match minute, FC Blue Twister Liberec was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomáš Císař to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Blue Twister Liberec booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaroslav Bača didn't get a good kick on the ball.
